Ask Your Employer for EV Salary Sacrifice
Your employer does not offer electric car salary sacrifice yet? Generate a ready-to-send email to HR in a minute, or let us refer them to The Electric Car Scheme for you.
It costs your employer nothing
No set-up cost and no net cost to the business. The lease is recovered from gross salary each month, and the employer saves National Insurance too.
ECS does the set-up
The Electric Car Scheme handles the set-up and integrates with payroll, so there is little for HR to do beyond saying yes.
You could save up to 50%
Paying from gross salary means saving income tax and National Insurance on the lease, on a new or used EV. Life Event Support lets you return the car, no penalties, if your household income drops.
The business is protected
Complete employer protection from day one: early termination fees are covered, uncapped. Certified B Corp, rated 4.9 on Trustpilot.
Questions
- What does my employer have to do?
- Sign up with The Electric Car Scheme, who set the scheme up and integrate it with payroll. There is no set-up cost and no net cost to the business.
- How big does my employer need to be?
- The Electric Car Scheme works with businesses that have 10 or more UK employees and at least two years of trading history.
- What happens if I refer my employer through EVcarsguide?
- We check the details and pass them to The Electric Car Scheme, who will contact you (not your employer) to explain the next steps. We only share what you enter on this page (including any car you picked) and delete it after 12 months.
- Will HR know it came from me?
- Only if you send the email. If you use "refer my employer for me", ECS contacts you first, and you decide who to involve.
